Silvermine Kennel On Taking Your English Cream Golden Retriever Puppy Home
Your English Cream Puppy has been well cared for during his/her stay here at Silvermine Kennel. From the day your puppy whelped he/she has been lovingly protected and socialized. If we have been notified of your puppy's name, we have begun to call your puppy by the name you have chosen. If it has been a while since you have had a new puppy or if this is your first experience with a puppy, we offer and recommend these guidelines.
We would not suggest a "brand change" in the puppy food until your puppy has had time to adjust to his/her new home with you. If you want to change, wait about a month giving your puppy a chance to settle in.
We strongly encourage you to follow the instructions on the puppy food bag and feed your new puppy according to his body weight. We again, strongly encourage you to not "demand feed" your English Cream Golden Retriever Puppy. Demand feeding is known to contribute to bad hip development as well as other health problems. Consult your vet as your puppy grows as to what amount of puppy food is appropriate for each stage of his/her development.
Please provide your puppy with fresh clean water, keeping this supply readily available at all times.
Always have shelter for the puppy if he/she is to be outside that is shaded and cool or as appropriate provide shelter with warmth.
We recommend that you chip you puppy soon, so that in the event that you lose your puppy, the chip could be read and your puppy returned to you.
Your puppy has had his/her own "quality time" alone with us, however most of his/her time has been spent with the litter. We suggest your provide your puppy with a stuffed toy to comfort him/her as your puppy begins to adjust to your life and home.
We hope you find these tips useful and most of all enjoy your Sivermine Kennel English Cream Golden Retriever Puppy!
